 Blame your mom’s diet. According to a new study, your facial features are influenced by what your mom ate during pregnancy. In particular, scientists found that diets heavier in protein led to wider noses and jaws. “We found that modulation of the level of protein in the maternal diet regulates mTORC1 activity, resulting in subtle but distinct changes in the craniofacial shape of the embryos,” researchers wrote.
